Want to be a film extra / Avustajaksi elokuvaan?

We are looking for film extras to feature in a studio scene filmed in Helsinki 22.6.2010. Film extras should be ethnically black to be able to apply. The film is called "The Beach" and is directed by PV Lehtinen. Theme of the film is equality and tolerance. It tells a story of an African man who finds himself stranded in Finland.

So, we are looking for people with black ethnical background from all ages, men & women, children & seniors (also whole families!). The film extras appear in group-scene in a studio. They are filmed with a style of a portrait photo (with a film camera). There is no need for actor's skills, however the film extras are very important for the whole film. Filming will last for about 6 hours.

The compensation is 30 euros. Though the reward is pretty small, the shooting of the film will be fun and exciting experience!

Etsimme avustajia studiokuvauksiin Helsingissä 22.6.2010. Hakijoiden tulee olla ihonväriltään tummaihoisia voidakseen hakea avustajaksi. Elokuvan nimi on "The Beach" ja sen ohjaa PV Lehtinen. Elokuvan teemoja ovat tasa-arvo ja suvaitsevaisuus. Se kertoo afrikkalaisesta miehestä, joka eksyy Suomeen.

Etsimme siis kaikenikäisiä tummaihoisia avustajia esittämään elokuvassa afrikkalaisia. Haemme miehiä ja naisia, lapsia ja vanhuksia (myös kokonaisia perheitä!). Kuvaamme studiossa joukkokohtauksen, jossa avustajat kuvataan elokuvakameralla muotokuvan tavoin. Näytellä ei siis tarvitse osata. Avustajien rooli elokuvan teossa on kuitenkin tärkeä. Kuvaukset kestävät noin 6 tuntia.

Avustajapalkkio on 30 euroa. Vaikka palkkio on suhteellisen pieni, elokuvan kuvaukset on hauska ja jännittävä kokemus!

Mikäli SINÄ olet kiinnostunut avustajan tehtävistä, lähetä hakemus, joka sisältää ainakin seuraavat tiedot:

- Perustiedot itsestäsi (nimi, ikä, kansallisuus/etninen tausta)

Usually you find students, clubs & such ready to contribute if they get the money for their "cause".

Not dissing people's ingenuity, but wasn't Leonardo DiCaprio already in a film by that name?
