Are these easily available?

Post by LeahGG » Mon Jun 21, 2010 3:53 pm

Hi, my family and I will be visiting in Joensuu for a vacation next month, and we keep Kosher.
We got a list of products that we can eat, and I was wondering if the following products are easily available in every supermarket?

Oululainen and Fazer breads (Looks common from their website)

Valio brands (I assume this is common, because they seem to have cream cheese, cheese slices, ice cream, yogurt, everything)

Kelloggs cereals

ABBA tuna fish (and/or do they have US brands like chicken of the sea or starkist?)

Tutteli baby formula

Saariston Meren Kala packaged smoked salmon/lox

thanks,
Leah

Yes, they're everywhere. My local Valintatalo sold Ingman/Arla brand milk rather than Valio. CityMarket carries all Valio items. If you stick to the big stores, you should be able to find everything.

If you wan't to immerse yourselves into finnish drinking culture, Koskenkorva vodka is kosher. =)
