I applied for Eiran lukio and my entrance exam test is next month!!!
I would like to know if here is anyone who is studying at Eira (or planning)? How the entrance exams looks like?
Are you satisfy with your studies there?

One of my kids studies part-time there (he is doing the parallel high school programme with Perho - Helsinki Culinary School). I have been quite impressed with some of the teachers (eg Finnish, Maths), but I haven't met them all. It is a HUGE lukio (the biggest in Finland in number of students enrolled) which has its problems. You need to sign up for courses ASAP to be sure of getting a place, some of the "sit down" classes get booked up very quickly . However, it is possible to do some of the work on-line which is great.

I would say you need to be very organised and motivated to get through the full lukio programme. The teachers are not behind you telling you what to do all the time. It is your responsibility to organise your classwork, your homework, your revision and your exams.

Thanks for your answer Penelope!!! So it is possible youre doing parallel programme? I didnt hear about that option, but it sounds good!
Do you maybe know anything about entrance exams? I have english test and i need to get at least grade 8 to pass them. I would like to know more how the english test looks like.

Do you know anything if Kela pays some scholarship for it? I have heard many people said it doesnt, some said it does.

No scolarship as far as I know but you might qualify for student support, depending on your age etc. No idea.

My son is a native English speaker so I don't think he sat the exam.
