Recruitment Agencies

Post by AngloNomad » Thu Jul 15, 2010 10:03 pm

Moi,

Haluisin recruitment agency nimi.

Kiitos!

I'm looking for some recruitment agency names, ideally scientific recruitment. Yep, its that new job time, I'm living in Finland but have only been here a year so I'm not quite a linguistically cultured beast yet!!

Cheers!

PS - I know my Finnish is poor but hey! :) (tai ymmärrän etta mun suomeksi on huono)

Done it before but I would agree that they are normally pretty poor. Still, scatter far and wide and se what can be reaped.

Cheers Janedoe, I'll give them a look!

Problem here in Finland is, that by law you cannot charge persons for job placement so theres no way for someone to consult you to get a job. So its the companies who pay for ouija-board psychics. Basically, all those agencies are arsewipe scammers. Sorry if I was unclear at the point. Rental agencies are another pet peeve of mine. Flipside then is in countries where you can ask for money where theres umpteen consultants wanting money to type your cv with two fingers...

That's the same in a lot of places - the UK for instance, where they nevertheless have a healthy market for recruitment agencies. They charge the employer , not the employee. It can work.

Hi,

Check-out these links:

http://www.expat-finland.com/employment ... vices.html
http://www.opetusala.fi/henkilostopalve ... ettelo.php

You can also post your CV on http://ec.europa.eu/eures/home.jsp?lang ... anged=true. EURES is Europe wide service.

It's quite common in Finland to start working through a straffing agency, and then be hired direcrtly for the same position as an employee. This is also my own case with the present job, and second time in my case.
I have personally worked thgough these two companies:
http://www.eilakaisla.fi/home
https://www.manpower.fi/MPNet3/startCon ... ef=FINLAND

Good luck, and never give up:)

How's the tech industry in Finland? Trying to land an IT job in the region to get the hell out of the US. Any thoughts?
