Lionbridge is looking part-time software testers on freelancer-basis located in several countries(see list below). The software testers will perform testing on wireless devices and their interoperability with local mobile network operators. The work can mainly be performed from the software tester’s own location (e.g. home) but a small part of testing might require moving between network cells (e.g. few kilometers distance).
Main Responsibilities
- Execute test cases and scripts on wireless devices
Take logs of diagnostic information in order to help other groups to analyze and debug software issues
Produce error reports for found errors
Produce status reports on testing progress
Install updated software on target devices
- Technical skills and knowledge
Knowledge of Windows OS and Office applications
Knowledge of mobile technology, internet communication and various software platforms
Capability installing and uninstalling software
Language skills and knowledge
Excellent English language, both written and verbal
Excellent skills in native language, both written and verbal
Analytical and problem solving skills
Time management skills, own work prioritization capabilities and flexibility
Ability to work under minimum supervision
Ability to communicate and cooperate with a multi-cultural team
Interest and awareness on latest technologies
- Availability of own computer with Windows environment, to be used to log test results and to install software required to perform the work
Availability for instant communication (e.g. chat / messenger) and on-line trainings
Driving license and/or possibility of short-distance trips
Availability on locally purchasing hardware needed for testing (reimbursed by Lionbridge)
Availability on Central European working-hours is a plus
Being based on the country’s capital city is a plus
A degree in Telecommunication or Information Science is a plus
