Well, it's been like this for ages... and it's not restricted to spoken word... look at the so-called graffiti around Helsinki, most of the stuff that at least tries to convey some message in the form of words is "in English" (and about 99% of all graffiti is merely idiotic 'tags' which just looks plain awful, no matter what the "graffiti artists" themselves say...)tummansininen wrote:"Oh my God", "You can't be serious", "Get a life", "Fuçk off and die", "Match made in Heaven" etc etc etc. It sounds as if throwing out English phrases makes you cool.
I guess using the old mother tongue would not carry enough street cred.
