well first of all everybody in finland can speak english because most of the popular media comes from US. if you need motivation just sign up for a class where are other people trying to reach the same goal. they probably have same kind of interests and will be easy to talk with about the problems of languange etc. anyways i think that practise makes masters. best way to learn to talk finnish is to simply start talking finnish. at my school i chose russia as languange choice but there werent enough choosers to form a group so i learned it at my spare time. i read the dictionaries and discussed with travelling russians when possible and if i got bored i just quit for couple days and returned to study when i felt like it. usually the best motivation comes naturally, you cant force it. that's at least how it worked out in my case.
