The Helsinki City Library event is worth supporting. Yes, this is the Internet, but libraries need support, too.

Since shops open on Sundays now and many libraries are situated in shopping malls, it would be nice if a few more of them opened regularly on Sundays.
(Anyway.... for those who don't know.... the Helsinki City Library situated on Richardinkatu has a huge selection of English language books (including the old British Council collection). The whole of the top floor of the library is devoted to Eng Lit. A nice old-fashioned library, in a nice old building.)

The Internet is wonderful, but libraries can offer copyright protected books which the Internet cannot offer.
Support libraries!

tuulen.... I think you are preaching to the converted. Finland probably has one of the highest rates of library frequentation of any country in the world!!! Over 80% of Finns visit a library at least once a year.
