Oskari-Koira is a black spitz mix. He's smallish, very cute, and very intelligent (for a dog). He's getting close to 2 years olds. I'd put a picture up, but can't figure out how to do that.
However, he has serious dominance issues, and tries to dominate everyone and everything he gets near. He was abused in his early life, and has some other more difficult to define problems, which add up to fear for odd reasons and some weird behavior. He never passes up a chance for a fight with a male dog, and has been known to bite people (not to draw blood - just little nips to say he is boss).
On the up side, he is very loyal, sticks close when you walk him without a leash, and comes when he is called (if you are in the countryside - I wouldn't do that in the city, as he is sure to get in a fight with the first dog that comes along). Once he acknowledges you as boss, he learns very quickly. He is very energetic and loving. Most of the time, he doesn't present any problems.
He can run all day in deep snow without tiring - we took him hiking over Christmas. So he needs long walks, and is a good dog if you like to go running with your dog.
He needs an owner who (1) doesn't have any children (2) is comfortable and knows how to establish dominance over a strong willed dog and (3) either has a reasonably decent amount of space for him to run in (like a yard), or will take him for long walks.
We have to give him up because we have a baby on the way, and he is not the kind of dog to have near a baby.
Overall, he could be an excellent dog for the right person, but he needs the right kind of environment or he's bound to get into trouble.
