Re: internship in Finland
So there isn't "a law", theres collective agreements, so what is the law is in the union book, and that changes when the agreement changes.

Re: internship in Finland
Thank you ! i went through all those acts ... and now what i need to do is find cases, case-law (but i guess you don't have that in Finland since there is no "law"!) or company examples to see is collective agreements are respected ...
I also have to talk about the evolution/changes ... And i really don't know how to do ! LOL

Oh, but there is the labour court and the case law http://www.finlex.fi/fi/oikeus/tt/
You just have to learn Finnish
I said there isn't "a law" regarding internships as there isn't one regarding minimum wage as there are many union agreements that dictate what it is - so there isn't one law you can look at but you have to know which one of the agreements specifically adheres to the case. And in case of internships you also have to look at the education, as the different degrees have usually "obligatory work training" as a part of the studies. So if you *have* to do work placement there isn't reading anywhere you need to be actually hired, so its "studying" and not "working"... in some fields and professions its quite blatant exploitation.

Re: internship in Finland
Well, yes the problem is that i don't speak Finnish, and i wont have time to learn because I have to handle this work in two weeks !!!
what about the minimum wage in Finland ? i know there isn't one particular in Finland and that most salaries are collective agreements between the employee and their employer. I'm looking for an average to have a idea...
Since I have to talk about changes, i guess i'll say that labour legislation is constantly changing in Finland because/thanks to collective agreements !
thanks for your help !
if i understood well for the remuneration, it depends on your skills, qualification and experience ?????? and also on the company's localization .

Re: internship in Finland
Not the legislation itself necessarily - as you see the law on collective agreements is from 1946. The parameters within the laws, like "minimum wage" change. If you are without agreement, and are in a profession without any agreement, you have to earn enough that the social insurance kicks in, so the calculated value is 5,95 per hour. Now in counties, they can offer kids without any training nor experience a monthly salary of 664,58 in the summer months; but otherwise the minimum monthly salary is 1025,20 (calculated value).
