Studying in Finland in any condition?

Post by Aksen » Wed Nov 24, 2010 9:12 pm

Moi!
Olen Aksen :)

I want to live in Finland for a while, i wonder this country and this language...

I will have graduated from English language and Literature department in June 2011. After it, i do not have any plan to do. I am only 20 years old.

I want to live or study in Finland. I can have an internship orrr language course, or sth like studying but it should not cost me much.

What do you suggest me?

THANKS a lot :)

Nakemiin :)

I think you have to double a few semesters.

A Summer University intensive course in Finnish? http://www.kesayliopistot.fi/english.htm

The 2011 info is not yet there but will become available in Jan or Feb (at least that has been the case earlier)

Merhaba Aksen!
There are no scholarships in Finland. Tuition is free but one has to pay for accommodation, food and other items like that. You need to arrange your medical insurance too. Internships are hard to come by,and getting a job is like winning in lottery. Not being able to speak finnish will worsen your chances further.
If i were a young adventureous turk,i would take my chances in Azerbaijan or Kazahkstan.

Yes there are, but not really for "beginners". The available scholarships are intended for Doctoral level studies and research.

But could you try and apply some scholarships/funding from Turkey? Or participate in some youth exchange like EVS (Youth in Action volunteer service programme)? Ok it's not "studies" but could be an alternative... for more info on EVS -> http://www.ua.gov.tr/
