Hei,
I am looking in to becoming self employed here in Finland as a cleaner. I am just wondering if anybody could help me out with how I need to go about registering as self employed, potential funding available to me, taxes, retirement funds etc.
I am hoping to start asap so all information would be greatly appreciated.
Kiitos
Darren

Re: Becoming Self Employed
Your current citizenship makes a difference regarding a residence permit, whether EU or not.
Re: Becoming Self Employed
I am British but I have permanent residency here in Finland.

There are a couple of long threads on "toiminimi" on this board (a toiminimi is what you need to apply for). And there are some good websites that specialise in that kind of information eg Enterprise Finland
So, I suggest you plough through those and then if you have some specific questions we can help you. You can also go on some free courses organised in the big cities (definitely in Helsinki for example) that give the 101 on TMI and there is a book (in the library) called Establishing and Doing Business in Finland (Holopainen)
