moving to Tampere soon

Post by fozzy » Sun Jan 23, 2011 10:49 pm

My dilema is when we arrive, My daughter has a place in a day care in Tampere which starts in April (she will start the local school in August 2011).
Thing is we really want to stay in England for a bit longer so that we can save as much money before we arrive.
My concern is do we give her a few months in daycare to learn a little finnish before she starts proper school or do we just wait and put her in the school in AUgust knowing that once she is comfortable and settled in she wont leave there until she is 11 (and also giving us a few more months to work and save like crazy).
Would putting her in a daycare for a few months be more distressing knowing she will leave in July and then start a different schoolor would the extra months make a really big difference on her picking up the language??
Advice please?? ANy comments welcome
