Apple Cider Vinegar

Can someone please let me know where I can find apple cider vinegar (preferably organic) in Helsinki? And what is it called in Finnish? I recall searching the shelves at Citymarket and the closest was Omena Etikka? I doubt that's apple cider vinegar as it was rather clear and light. Thanks for your help!

Omenaviinietikka.

I have never even heard of omenaetikka, so I think that you saw omenaviinietikka. And that is in every food store. And it is sort of light yellowish and bright. But I have no idea of organic.

Cheapest is to get 3L at Heino - Lidl used to have a good one - cheap - but they took it out of their Finnish collection (available in Lidl outside Finland) - they replaced with EXPENSIVE Rajamäki.

There are shops named ''LIFE'' in many places.One of them is in the railway station down the floor where is Forex.I found mine there.

Cathie - I tsp of apple cider vinegar with 1 tsp of raw honey first thing every morning mixed in a glass of water. Good to flush out the system and it's good for weight loss too!

Speaking of raw honey, anyone knows where I can find it?

Practically any Finnish honey I suppose. Fast googling tells that honey is made by bees, that are removed, honeycombs opened and spinned to extract the honey, honey is filtered and stored/packaged. How much more raw can you get?

I know there's a fetish in the natural foods community for unfiltered, unpasteurized ACV with the "mother" floating and growing in the bottom of the bottle, etc. As in any kind of purist community, there are all kinds of claims made about how failure to adhere to this fetish in any tiny detail will ruin the entire effect of remaining pure in practice and spirit.

Personally I've never distinguished any reduction in benefits from using clarified, pasteurized ACV, which I often use for taste in cooking and in apple juice and honey to reduce fatigue and soreness on days of particular physical exertion like clearing brush, putting up a wall or roof, or stuff like that. I always use clarified ACV, not the Bragg's stuff. (I don't know why ACV works as advertised as an anti-fatigue agent, though I surmise it might have something to do with making it easier for the body to flush lactic acid by some kind of chemical exchange process. But it does noticeably work in a way that apple juice or honey or both together do not work without the vinegar.)

Another question I have is where the Bragg's in Finland is coming from. Is it possible to import unfiltered, unpasteurized apple-juice products like American-style Bragg's? Or is this a pseudo-Bragg's that has actually been pasteurized (killing the mother) and thus would no longer meet the test of spiritual purity?

The placebo effect works a lot better for some conditions than for others, and for some people than others, though. (Plus the term is often conflated with mere statistical noise or procedural error.)

In general I don't seem to be too receptive to it because there are times that things I really expect to work, that ought to work, just don't. As far as preventing next-day muscle stiffness, ACV seems to be about as good for me as taking ibuprofen before or during the work.
