Breakfast in Helsinki

Post by MagicJ » Wed Dec 01, 2010 9:05 am

Morning.

I'm looking for a nice weekday 'hotel buffet style' breakfast in downtown Helsinki.
I've been to Ekberg and Fanny so looking for something of similar quality/price/setting.
Any recommendations or hidden gems?

You can just walk into any of the hotels in town and just pay for breakfast

Have you tried Hotels?
http://google.com http://translate.google.com http://urbandictionary.com
Visa is for visiting, Residence Permit for residing.

One of my customers said that but they also said it's quite expensive, but maybe they said that they go during weekend shopping trips.
Anyway was just looking for an interesting venue rather than another 'branch' of Radissons although i'll bear it in mind as i'm sure space and baby changing facilities wouldn't be a problem at hotels.

I can recommend the breakfast buffet at the Klaus K. It is not the cheapest at €21pp, but the choice and quality of the food is exceptional. They call it the Best of Finland breakfast and they have specialty produce from all over Finland.

Or just have the Sausage McMuffin and decent McD coffee (when fresh) - for under 5€ - it's enough for a breakfast and very tasty as just confirmed by another post just below

There was that fabulous cafe on senate square - but didnt it close for the house being renovated? Just like the old bus station baari. Now that was a classic.

Look on www.eat.fi for breakfast places, should be some reviews as well.

Do they actually serve breakfast and McDs over here. Everyone I have been into doesn't.

Which ones are serving breakfast?

Just looked at the McD's.fi site and turns out not 'all' serve breakfast. And I need to buy a lotto ticket because all the locations I have been to (maybe 4) are some of the locations that do not serve breakfast.
