Question regarding entrepreneur courses in Tampere

Post by uusi life » Mon Feb 07, 2011 1:37 pm

Moi! I am trying to find any possible entrepreneur courses which are taught in english in Tampere. :o I have spoken to the employment office who directed me to the Ensimetri company where I asked this same question but they said no. My Finnish understanding & speaking is quite basic-have studied beginner's course at Onnenkieli (level 2.2), so I think studying a course taught in Finnish would be a bit difficult. Other option of course is to study more Finnish then do a Finnish entrepreneur course, or start a Finnish taught one and see how much I understand...

As far as I know the ones in Tampere region are still all in Finnish; I asked about this 6 years back when I started my business here, in the hope of getting some startup funding, and the answer from ensimetri back then, as it was for you now, was no - if anyone would know, it'll be the people at ensimetri.

Thanks, yes as I've found also, it still seems to be the same situation. That is my goal too-to do a course then apply for a 'startti raha.' Might plan on studying more Finnish very soon then do a course, as one option. The Immigrant Advice Centre in Tampere recently emailed me links to really short courses in Helsinki-only 6 hours, which are in english. What type of business do you have here? (My plans are for a video production company, or work in the same area as a freelancer.)
