Actually I hang them up in the tyrni bushes to frighten away the magpies - works great. Also keep the birds off the strawberries. Useful things. :D

Will do.

Richard Quest is one of my favorite business journalists. I spotted him in years back, when he was still in BBC, because of his specific voice (I did not like it at the beginning myself too). I think he gives a lot of character into his reports. I know a lot of people hate him for that, but I personally enjoy his shows a lot. Trust me, if you watch more of his shows, you might also live over his voice and start noticing nice ways of presenting issues, insights and humor. :)

ok with his voice and 'flying 1 meter off the ground' but at the same time he dishes out so much HYPE that the voice and 'enthusiasm' only make the hype even more disgusting when he is dishing it out.

That is probably half of the problem. There are still some old-school viewers out there who want the story to be front and centre, not the storyteller. Terribly old-fashioned, I'm sure, in these great days of charisma-driven infotainment, but there it is.

Over here we call Quest the voice of British media imperialism.
As he persisted, I was obliged to tootle him gently at first and then, seeing no improvement, to trumpet him vigorously with my horn.
