Do I have to have a full time job to get a type A permit?
I have been working part-time for over a year. I do not want to work full time, because I am trying also to run my own business in other countries.

Hi,

Migri is considering your cabability to support yourself. Normally they accept regular part-time work, more than 18 hours a week as regular and decent income.

If I become a Finnish company shareholder, Would that help me get the type A permit?
I mean if I completely stop my part-time job in Finland, but become a shareholder of the Finnish company which I have been working for and generates nice revenue every year. Am I still able to get a permit? If not, how can I attend the company's shareholder's meeting? Through business visa?

Thanks

If it generates sufficient income to YOU, then I guess that would be OK.

I guess that could be so, even if I wonder if anybody has ever done that in practice. For starters the financial interest in attending should be big enough that it would seem like the real reason for your travel.
