Highly-experienced native English teacher

Post by David Cumberworth » Sun Mar 13, 2011 2:19 pm

After 2 years back in the UK I am ready to get back to Finland. I need to secure enough work before moving back, so if anyone is looking for a good native English teacher, please let me know.

Are you planning to be private teacher or do you aspire to actually teach in a school?

If latter, check your credentials. "Native" is not considered sufficient credential for teaching with official status of competent teacher.

Apparently he has lived and worked here already (see his OP) so I guess he knows the set up.

My suggestion would be he gets networking with his old contacts. That's the best way to find a job up here.

Have to...It's quite tough to get work teaching from outside the country. Can be done...but it's not easy.

Seems to becoming more common all over the EU / Europe to only employ people who are alreay based in the country.
