Getting a job, loosing a job. Kela?

Post by Ellah » Fri Mar 25, 2011 4:14 pm

Hey, I should be eligible for Kela unemployment money (just waiting for the final answer that should be in all likelyhood positive)

However I heard of a job today and Im going to visit the place next week. I talked to some boss today who was very interested. The requirements are though that I speak swedish (some swedish speaking phone job). Allright... I can speak swedish, but Im not totally fluent or really confident. However I learn languages really fast and I have a really good foundation for the language, the boss there didnt think it was a problem.

However I was wondering. What happens if I get the job, but then later they dont like me, or I find out that my language skills arent good enough, or I suck as a phones sales man (who knows!) :D and I get fired or laid off after a short while. How does that effect MR. Kela ;) and unemployment benefits? Do I loose all the rights because I started a job and lost it/got fired/dismissed ?

Just wondering if it's better that I stay totally away from this so I wont risk anything. Im short enough on money as it is!

I would call there myself if it wasnt 16 on a Friday and Im so stressed about this, everything happens too fast! (or things dont happen at all...)

If you are fired, your unemployment benefits should be started again, as far as I know. It's only when you decide to resign yourself, it may cause problems, but once you are dismissed, it is not really your fault, at least not officially... (no one will be profoundly checking the reasons for you being laid off).
But let's hope things go well for you and the job is going to become permanent! :D
