Au pair job from August

Post by musta_kissa » Tue Apr 19, 2011 4:22 pm

Family I'm working at now is looking for a new au pair for the next year from August 2011 untill May:

ABOUT US

We are family of six. Or actually family of seven, you know we have had three au pairs before and we have got used to having three adults in the house. We always tell our children that there is three bosses in the house: mom, dad and the au pair.

Mari, mom, aged of 38 is a psychologist and works part time in occupational health care. Alex, dad, aged of 41 works as business unit manager in big maintenance company. Our kids (aged 13,11,7)go to English speaking school and youngest , 5 years, will start Kindergarten in the English School of Tampere next Autumn. Older kids play volleyball, attend skiing school (cross country) and play different instruments (cello and piano), younger ones just play outside J. We adults do lot of sports: jogging, gym, fitness classes(mom ), volleyball(dad). As a family we go swimming and all our previous au pairs have joined us to swimming hall (we live next to lake, so good swimming skill is oblicatory).

We live in Lempäälä, small city with 30 000 inhabitants, just 25km to Tampere, which is the third biggest city in Finland. We live next to lake, so from late spring to early autumn we enjoy going to sauna and swimming. If you rare you can try iceswimming as well… Although Lempäälä is small, we have the biggest shopping mall in Scandinavia, Ideapark.

WHAT DO WE EXPECT FROM OUR AU PAIR

We appreciate you having positive state of mind, you enjoy life and want to experience more. You are open-minded. You are able to talk: if there is something that bothers you, you tell that and we try to solve the problem together. You need to have positive attitude towards sports, since we live in countryside( closest bus stop to city of Tampere is as far as 2 kilometers). You have own room, but since our house is not so big, you need to adjust to noise.

You are in our house to help us and we appreciate it. You help us to pick up smaller boys from school, help them with schoolwork, prepare dinner for us and do other household duties. You need to be independent and active. Your weekends are always free for you to use.

You do not need to be able to speak Finnish, since we all understand and speak English (youngest just little bit), but hopefully you are interested getting to know Finnish lifestyle. We offer you Finnish language course in Tampere. And we expect your English skills to be fluent

Please contact us and tell more about you and how do you feel you could adjust to live and work with us?
