I actually missed a lots of chance speaking Finnish, I always worried slow reacted suomea would bother Finns. I only speak lots of suomea to my Finnish teacher, because I know she will be significantly tolerant since I am her students.
I am wondering what is the attutitue of Finns when they find that foreigners trys hard to speak and learn their language, will they/you be tolerant our bad suomea?

Depends. If you make ears bleed or not. You just need to try and keep speaking.

For some switching to English maybe rather automatic, so you have to be little persistent.
Otherwise I don't think there is problem if you know enough that understanding and being understood will not cause too much frustration.

I'd say that most Finns like and respect you if you try to learn and use Finnish. But there is time and place for learning and when you start to build queue behind you...weijie wrote:I am wondering what is the attutitue of Finns when they find that foreigners trys hard to speak and learn their language, will they/you be tolerant our bad suomea?
