Child address
Child address
Hi
Does anyone know how and where u can change a child address? Any website to do it? Mi boyfriend´s ex keeps changing the girl address all the time (like 3 times already) and he has never authorize that. They have shared custody.
Also everytime he wants to take her to doctor, the mom doesnt want to give him kela card. She difficult with everything!
Is there any website where to read about custody rights and what to do in this case?
Thanks!

Re: Child address
I would guess this is something that is due to how it is registered in the maistraatti computers. If the custody is shared, the child still has to be registered as living at only one address (I would guess). Not sure if one parent can change this without the other ones permission, maybe a call to the maisttratti will help to get further info.

Re: Child address
It is not the shared custody that matters here, but who is the primary care giver.
Re: Child address
Assuming caring parent moves him/herself to another location, child will be relocated as well. And to my knowledge there is no restriction on parent moving within the country.interleukin wrote:I would guess this is something that is due to how it is registered in the maistraatti computers. Re: Child address
Sorry, was not so clear. I meant the address that is registered, not actually moving. Anyway, I don't know anything about the matter actually, was just making assumptions based on my own knowledge of how address registration works around here. Good that other people have replied to the OP.

But the move might be a reason to readjust the visiting right schedule.
Re: Child address
Well, registering yourself as living in another location is in this case, from system standpoint, same as moving AFAIK.interleukin wrote:Sorry, was not so clear. It is, in principle, possible to live in Helsinki and have yourself registered to live in Nowheremäki. Nowheremäki will handle your taxes etc, sending all the paperwork to your registered address. Despite you personally not having moved an inch.
It hasf possible repercussions and is possibly even illegal (not certain), but it can be done.
Re: Child address
You're supposed to keep the population register informed of your actual place of residence, and failing to do so or giving them wrong information is a violation of the law. Most people wouldn't want to do that for the practical problems (such as you'd go to Helsinki health care centre (not dripping blood) and they'd ask you to go to Nowheremäki instead).Tiwaz wrote: It hasf possible repercussions and is possibly even illegal (not certain), but it can be done.
