Hi everyone,
I have been searching for some clear info regarding the following: If I have a company and I want to pay my employee x amount/month NET salary, what are all the taxes involved (paid by employee/employer)?
There's nothing like that out there, of course. So, after a lot of digging, I came up with this:
https://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key ... y=CNj445cB
It assumes the employee lives in Helsinki and doesn't pay church tax - and it's for 2011. Also, the employee's only income is their salary. There's no other deductions, benefits, public transport discounts, etc. etc. etc. JUST the salary.
Am I right? Does anyone think I'm missing something? If so, what?
If I am right, maybe others can use this as well.
Salary and taxes - Is this correct?

If your employee is under 18 you don't have to pay the social security (KELA) contributions (but you should check this with KELA as I'm no expert). Certainly in the past when we have hired kids to work in our kiosk we have not had to pay full contributions if they are under 18.
And then there's holiday pay.... I can't remember off the top of my head (I have a book at home with all this in it) but I think it is 9% of the gross which is paid at the end of the contract (if it's a temporary contract).
If you bank with Nordea I think they have an integrated on-line app for raising pay slips.
