Another tip...Or 2

Buy tattoos magazines. They're a bit pricey but...I would recommend..Tattoo Collection. you can buy it from Acedemic Bookshop and the odd R-Kioski etc. It's 4.90 on the cover and just filled with tattoo pics, hardly any writing at all. A lot have a ton of interviews and aren't that good. Any of the Nordic ones are also good, you might find a decent guy in Stockholm and thats just a nice weekend trip, a few days away and a new tattoo.

Of course, the internet is a great resource for finding tatts.

You can find a ton of ideas and it's also good to know what you don't want as well as what you do want.

Thanks for all the tips. We're not in a hurry, he's been considering this tatto already for a few years, so He won't rush into anyhting before he's sure that this is what he wants. Going to Turku or Sweden wuldn't be too bad either, and as he's swedish speaking, it helps with communication :)

I knew someone would start saying that stuff...I was thinking I should write dont start saying "why would you do that?". always happens when you start talking about tattoos.

And to be honest we really don't care what you and like-minded folk think, so shut up.

But i do agree with you. I would probably never get my forearms done cos of work, could be difficult with my job. Neck, hands and face are kinda stupid...although tattooed neck and hands can look good IMO. But if the tattoo can be covered, it doesn't matter.

GF's little brother wants his forearm done. first one too, and I am saying 'no'. He's in design school and the area of work he is going to accepts that kinda stuff but even still you never know where you end up. He could be having meetings with heads of BMW in 20 years.
Wear a long sleeve shirt if it really matters? Sorted.

I'm getting my forearm done at Paradise Tattoo and I'm a doctor in chemistry, work in R&D. If people mind I'll roll my sleeves down, no problems.

It's there for life...what do you think?

Thick black lines that could 'blow out'? Look wonky? Have blurred outer edges?

I wouldn't say you have to go to the best but all the good guys charge pretty much the same, so make sure it's a good, reputable one.

For a tribal style thing?

I am not sure but I'll ask around (I know a few there but can't remember the names) if no one else can point you in the right direction.
