Summer Play Schools in London

Hello everybody
This summer I am planning to go from Helsinki to London (for two-three weeks from 30.06.2011) and I am looking for any INEXPENSIVE Summer Play School for my 11-year-old twin daughters. They have studied the English language extensively for three years, in Helsinki. They now need practice in original pronunciation and conversational English through play and summer activities with English children.

I am very interested in eny Summer Play School (only everyday attendance without accommodation and livelihood) program or any recommendations you may inform of such programs. I would very much like detailed information and prices. The less expensive the better as my family is on a very limited income, therefore we don't need traditional English language courses (with accommodation): they are too expensive for us. We have an information about summer play school in Manchester and charge such as £35 for a week. The same price would be acceptable for us, but we would like to stay in London, because I like to visit with my doughters museums and show them other remarkable sights of London. All information and help will be greatly appreciated.

The school summer holidays don't start in the UK until the second half of July so ALL the 11-year olds are still in school. I think they break up around week 29. So, you will find it very difficult to find anything, especially in London, for at least the first two weeks in July.

BTW, "playschools" are for toddlers (kindergarten), what you are looking for is a "summer camp", or a "day camp"

A lot of the private schools organise summer camps: I know of one school that runs a fabulous sports camp in Somerset where my parents live, but they are not cheap (in fact they can be very expensive and they don't start until the end of term.

I suggest you try contacting the http://www.finn-guild.org/ as they have an active network in London and offer reductions on travel arrangements. There is a discussion forum on their website where you could ask for more info.
