hey guys,
We english speakers have never tested our skills on TOFEL or GMAT, Finnish Testing centers have adopted the same format, in fact the soft ware company used is American and The localization was done in Birmingham, The actual project was launched back in 1999. I did YKI test two years ago, but i never felt any use of it, yeah if i am interested in Finnish Citizenship or Police job or some thing similar. The actual you learn by conversation, material are almost similar, at the end what i collect material was from local library, my test practice was just listening and nothing else. I listened conversations on many topics, it improved my vocabulary. I am speaker of 6 languages, have worked for Brit Council and other prestigious institutions, and almost every person who i met who was bilingual agreed that hearing sense is the ultimate to sharpen your learning skills. In IGCSE we have four skills of language when we learn fresh other than our mother tongue english, reading, writing, speaking and listening. Listening is top scorer than speaking and rest follow.
Best material is the not that what ABUYAMIN Is offering, in my opinion it is just good marketing skills of his that he is offering heart stricken lads some of hope.
Guys just stick with one thing, listening, guess what i did 8 months of courses, at the end i ended up sleeping with two of my single teachers and passed my YKI test, their contribution was not more than moaning well during the night but few tips afterwards while smoking helped me alot.
