Best way to visit Lapland ?

Hi everyone !

I would like to plan a short visit to Lapland. I will be departing from Helsinki on a Friday, around 15.00 and would like to return on Sunday.
Any suggestions on hotels?
Also, train or rent a car?

Without bothering to check, flying by Norwegian to Rovaniemi and taking a rented car from there would be a reasonable option regarding both time and money?

Thanks so much...just checked out that option, & you're right, from what I was able to see, it is quick & reasonably priced. Is Norwegian the cheapest airline flying out of Helsinki-Vantaa? What are other low-cost airliners?

Based on the news they apparently have quite aggressive pricing. You could simply check from the website of Rovaniemi airport which companies currently fly there (there can't be that many) and check their prices. Sometimes even the other airlines have good offers.
