I NEED A JOB!

Post by Kaarina91 » Thu Aug 04, 2011 12:46 am

I am married and live in Kaarina, Finland. Ive been here for almost a year. I did some college in America, my core classes to be exact, my major Psychology. I was wondering what my options are when it comes to jobs in Finland. Is it possible to find a job where english is mainly used? Am still learning Finnish :)

You have to compensate your lack of Finnish with specialized knowledge and experience in a niche field.
Psychology assumes dealing with Finns, so Finnish is essential.
But since your residence permit was denied, you cannot legally work here. You first have to solve that problem before you can start looking for a job.

You say in the other thread you here without a residence permit ( viewtopic.php?f=3&t=55420 ), so basically illegally it seems. Anyway, there is no job that you can do legally without getting a permit first.

My advice is to take any job you can find. Beggers can't be choosers.
