Re: A good CV format
You can use the Europass website to make a pretty good looking CV. It makes them a little long in my opinion, so you might have to edit manually if you want a clean 1-page CV. But at least it's an official standard.
There are also some decent templates available at Google Docs.

Re: A good CV format
Thanks wunderbier,
I have been using Europass for sometime and it seems it is very regular now and does not get any attention. I am looking for a compact, lively, short and strong CV format that highlights my potential in a novel way. Google Doc is a good site and thanks for your suggestion. I would search here but in the meanwhile if you have any other ideas I shall greatly welcome those.
