Chef for opportunity/investor in Helsinki Restaurant

Post by Greg_Easter » Sat Aug 27, 2011 9:21 pm

Hello,

I am a chef from the United States with over 20 years of experience. I have been living in Saint Petersburg, Russia for the last couple of years and working as the head chef of one of the best restaurants in the city. I am now looking for an opportunity to move to Helsinki and begin a new restaurant, or take over as chef of an existing restaurant.

If you are interested in discussing this idea further, please respond to this thread. Thank you.

Hi,

I'm Jérémy, I just moved to Finland from France, I used to work in catering in France, 2 years as waiter and after I worked in pizzeria and as a cook in a retirement house, and I'm looking for a job here in Helsinki, so if you can be interested in my candidacy I'm interested in your offer.

Best regards,
Jérémy

Please allow me to clarify this post. I do not have a restaurant in Helsinki at this time. I am looking to open a new restaurant, or take over an existing restaurant, but the stage of hiring cooks is many months away. Right now I am looking for investors, or someone who already has a restaurant and needs an experienced executive chef to take charge of the kitchen to improve the food and service. Thank you.

Please do come here because the quality of the food in restaurants is really BAD!
Most of the time, they think that the only condiment they could use is salt :(
There is a big room for improvement here

Thank you, and yes I am well aware of the low quality of food in Finland as of now. I want to create a restaurant with world class cuisine that is still accessible to Finns, and not just weird like so many other Michelin star restaurants are these days.

because people are unwilling to pay for good food.

Yes, you can have a restaraunt with good food - but you'll be lucky to break even let alone make a profit.
