Children Birthday Party

Post by clapar » Wed Sep 07, 2011 10:23 pm

Hi my daughter is turning 7 at the end of November. We live in Espoo/Kaunianen and I was looking for a location little alternative to HopLop for a Birthday party. I have contacted already Kidfitness.fi but I was hoping in something cheaper and different as by now all of my daughter's friends have attend some Kidsfitness birthday party. Any ideas? Thanks Claudia

Hi Claudia,

I have seen some birthday party held at Sea Life in Helsinki, it's quite expensive though.

What about taking the kids to the movies? I did this for my daughters with a few friends of theirs and they enjoyed it. It works out cheaper than Hoplop. and you can buy sweeties and cookies beforehand, make them little packages to eat while watching the movies.

Also one kid a few years ago had his birthday celebration at the puppet theater in Hevosenkenkä (http://www.hevosenkenka.fi/intro). Kummituskekkeri is hilarious, I saw it twice, once with the kids in daycare and then with my daughters.

Good luck!

Cake and ice cream at home? If you don't want to keep the party at home you can rent the houses at asukaspuisto.

Have you considered Jungle Kids?

This is all run in English and I've heard they are excellent!

The city children's parks (Leikkipuisto ) that have a building can be rented. The rate in Helsinki is about 20 euro per hour, probably same in Espoo. All you have to do is email them and go pay in person. You have available their kitchen and the toys from the inside playing area, plus of course the playing equipment outside.
It is worth to explore the parks, many have a lot of green areas where to do a picnic outside and if it rains you just go inside the building :)

Hope the idea helps!

Hi,

I'm planning a birthday party at home for my one year daughter. I'm trying to find a place where they sell party supplies for themed birthdays. Preferably in Espoo, does anyone know of such places?

How about catered food? I found a cake place so I'm set with that.

Thanks.

Last year we took all kid best friends and went to Tallinn to have a party.
We rented room http://www.hopp.ee and had disco party-kids loved that (bubbles and disco lights).
