Yeah need a electrician to take a look at what I would like done he then says if it's possible and the I approach the housing manager with the plan of what I intend to do and contact details of the electrician he then decides if we can proceed or not .... That's how It works or ?

Unless your apartment is brand new, the house company is unlikely to know anything about the wiring. So are unlikely to know if you change it or not - provided that it's done correctly.
e.g. when we had putkiremontti, the house company's plans showed our kitchen in a completely different room

Pretty much. Might be cheapest to call/mail the manager first and ask what kind of planning, if any, he wants to see. The plans might end up the expensive part of the project.Foreigner(1) wrote:Yeah need a electrician to take a look at what I would like done he then says if it's possible and the I approach the housing manager with the plan of what I intend to do and contact details of the electrician he then decides if we can proceed or not .... And that is why the new housing coop law came... people have been doing changes to their apartments that end up costing to all the owners.Mook wrote:Unless your apartment is brand new, the house company is unlikely to know anything about the wiring. Indeed, but the law has been taken a bit far. Adding a couple of sockets in your kitchen is hardly likely to affect anyone.Upphew wrote:And that is why the new housing coop law came... people have been doing changes to their apartments that end up costing to all the owners.
As I said, if they don't know what you have, how can they know if you changed anything?
