Is their any sort of financial aid or tax credits type thing for self employed people who are earning pennies? On a good month I earn 800 on a bad month I earn 100. And there are more bad than good months. Almost a year of buying bargain basket food in supermarkets is getting on my wick. I don't want to pack it in because there is potential and I believe in what I do, and I don't want to be unemployed because I couldn't take the smugness of the unemployment office.
Or is there any like start up business grants/loans as I am in my first year of trading still?

Re: Is there any sort of financial aid for self employed
You can only get the Startti raha BEFORE you set up your business. You won't get it now (assuming you have already registered your business).
As for tax credits, it depends what your employment status is: Oy, toiminimi etc. You probably aren't paying any income tax if you are earning 100e/month and with the new tax account system you probably aren't paying any VAT either.
Did you read through the thread on starting a business in Finland?

Yes Penelope, I am registered and have my tunnus, but I am way under the threshold for VAT. Incidentally, I would like to thank you for advice you have given in the past, some directly and some advice you have given to others that I have perused at my leisure
so internet high-five to you!
