Hi,
I am living in helsinki. I want to invite a friend of mine from my country for visit but there is a real problem. For visit visa, there is a requirement of showing funds and embassy ask for the bank statement for last six months. I cannot provide the bank statement because i dont have a good statement (not much money) plus i opened account about two months ago. My friend cannot show the bank statement as well. But he has an uncle who is willing to pay his expanses and he has a good bank statement. So is it possible that he can show the statement of his uncle. Mean its weird, he is coming to me, visiting me, i am inviting him (invitation letter) but bank statement is being provided by his uncle who is living in his country (from where he is coming), not here in finland.
PS: country, Pakistan,
Funds requirments for visit visa (visiting family & friends)
Re: Funds requirments for visit visa (visiting family & frie
Statement can only be from the person wishing to travel to Finland. Your Uncle can transfer all of the needed money to your friend and then your friend can print the statement and you won't have a problem.
Showing the statement of someone else's money in someone else's bank does nothing. They are going to want to see money in your friends name in your own friends bank account.
If your friend wishes to come here for reasons other than tourism.. (i.e. he wants to 'fall in love with a Finnish girl') and then apply for residency then this is not a good idea.

I talked to embassy and they replied that anyone can give bank statements and funds for support and show bank statement BUT in that case, visiting person (who is applying for visa) needs to obtain an authority letter from person who is giving statement.Showing the statement of someone else's money in someone else's bank does nothing. They are going to want to see money in your friends name in your own friends bank account.
Today my friend followed the procedure and submitted his application along with the statement of his uncle and authority letter. They checked and accepted it and said everything is complete and ok.

It was and It was not at the same time.
It was fast because right after the night i posted this question, next day I called embassy and asked the same question with kinda shame and got reply. I told that right away to my friend and he got bank statement and authority letter from his uncle (who lives in the same street) and called embassy for appointment. There was not too much rush so he got appointment after 14.00 (Pakistani time), so he went with the filled form and necessary papers and paid fee and application submitted.
And it was not fast because embassy said him that it usually takes 14 days of processing, but in his case, it will might take long as they have to verify the statement and visa officer verify too. and he still need to show health insurance as well as paid return tickets once the visa is ready. so lets see
PS: there is always a chance that application denied with non refundable visa fee
