Irishman seeking employment in Finland

Post by mankki11 » Fri Oct 07, 2011 2:35 pm

Hi there,

I am an Irishman with a background in Sport and Exercise Psychology and with experience working in the healthcare sector in Ireland for a number of years. My wife is Finnish and we are both considering relocating here in the near future following the birth of our first child. I am wondering if anyone knows where is the best place to start looking for a job in the areas I have experience and qualifications in. I would be willing to work in another type of job if this is not possible. I have lived and studied in Finland before and I have some basic language skills in Finnish.

Thanks!

Good to see another Irishman in the same boat...

been looking for a while, so far i found out, tis tough without the language... So i'm learning it...slowly... reckon it will take me six months to get the basics..still in 6mths time , i recknon Ireland probably wont have picked up too much.(my prediction.pat kenny, joe duffy and vincent brown will have grown even more grumpy with age causing causing the place to spiral even futher into the mess that were already in.)

just after watching a primetime ther . twas looking at Finland and Ireland.. twas interesting enough.. worth a watch.. anyway..

Good luck with the job hunt

PERSISTENCE
