This is an annual event. There is a Brit food stall and also a second-hand book stall and various other attractions (Morris Men?).

Christmas is not far away and it is time to start making plans for the holiday season. Fortunately for our readers, the Anglican Church bazaar is just the place to help you make gift decisions. . Our traditional Christmas bazaar will take place on 26 November, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the crypt of Michael Agricola Church, Tehtaankatu 23, Helsinki.

All sorts of festive goodies, such as Christmas puds, mincemeat, cakes, chocolate, etc., will be on sale. Other specialties available are Marmite, tea, Dundee cakes, custard powder to name a few, some of which you will not find in Finnish shops!

We will have the usual attractions, such as the raffle (good prizes), books galore, the white elephant stall, and let’s not forget Christmas crackers (come early to avoid disappointment); and loads of (recycled) Christmas cards at bargain prices.

Visit our cafeteria for refreshments and a rest and chat with a friend you might not have seen for a while; also music and displays throughout the day. There will be some fun activities for the younger generation. including a “children only” tombola.
