Re: Tax umbrella company
Nobody is interested in umbrella companies of the UK
FINLAND
can you read?
OK, the answer is yes but no. Its called a osuuskunta as in co-operative.
Like http://www.eezy.fi and http://www.kanslia.com (However they have a limey filter - its all in Finnish.)
more from http://osuuskuntarekisteri.pellervo.fi some co-ops are more closed, some more "brolly" -like.
http://www.palkkiopalvelu.fi/?l=en
This is an umbrella company, mainly geared for performing artists.
What you have to watch out for is the % of handling they take.
And calculating if its worth it:
550euroa + alv23%.
Summasta 550 vähennetään ensin seuraavat:
- 15 palkkiopalvelun taksa
- 76,53 TyEl työnantajaosuus
- 9,64 sotu-maksu
- 5,19 tapaturmavakuutus
Nettosumma: 339,85 euroa
(Se on 61,79% laskutetusta summasta 550e)

Re: Tax umbrella company
My employment agency reports :
The management company can be selected later on. We have had positive experience with Von Essen, Globo and CXC. But there are more. Getting a calculation from multiple management companies would be for the best. Then you can make a better choice which with you would like to go.
This is the answer to the question the OP asked.

Re: Tax umbrella company
CPM People, a UK nbased company also supply a payroll solution for Finland. I have worked with them in the past and have had OK results.
Re: Tax umbrella company
To anyone in a similar situation - do NOT use a management company. I briefly used one of those already mentioned in this thread, and they charged me an arm and a leg for doing f*** all. I then set up as a TMI, which is what I should have done it the first place
, and it costs me next to nothing for a bookkeeper (I'm too lazy to do my own accounts).
Not sure if I've mentioned this, but do NOT use a management company. I repeat...

Re: Tax umbrella company
Allo...
Can you be more specific? What % were they taking and why was it a raw deal?
If - for example - a person uses Eezy or some other umbrella company to invoice their work, I assume that person can no longer deduct professional expenses and/or purchase VAT from their income as a TMI would do. Right or wrong?
And, question, when you work with these intermediaries - can't you just tell them the "net" amount you want in your pocket and then they work out the gross amount to invoice the company who is purchasing the services? How does it work in practice?

Re: Tax umbrella company
About 800 EUR per month, and all they did was perform a payroll service. Nothing else.penelope wrote:Allo...

Correct (if I understand you correctly). I can do that now, as a TMI, although any such amounts are trivial.penelope wrote:If - for example - a person uses Eezy or some other umbrella company to invoice their work, I assume that person can no longer deduct professional expenses and/or purchase VAT from their income as a TMI would do. Not sure about that. They also offered what was obviously a tax scam, where they only declared some of my income, and stuck the rest in an offshore account. I told them what I thought of that...penelope wrote:And, question, when you work with these intermediaries - can't you just tell them the "net" amount you want in your pocket and then they work out the gross amount to invoice the company who is purchasing the services? Re: Tax umbrella company

Presumably they have no physical presence in Finland then

Re: Tax umbrella company
Apologies for not replying sooner. No, they didn't have a physical presence in Finland, but they used a local company i.e. someone else requiring a 'cut'.penelope wrote:![]()
