Hi all,
I'm expecting my first baby and have applied for the maternity grant package as well. But maybe there are things that I need to get extra myself for example bib, towel etc. Any idea where I can get the organic cotton material that are not too expensive?
As for diapers, any stores here that sell eco-diapers? Cloth or disposable diapers?
Or any other recommendations? Thank you very much

Where to get baby green products in Helsinki?

You could try Ruohonjuuri, they are in Kamppi (close to Aussie bar) and in Itäkeskus, maybe in other places also. They have some baby stuff, although I´m not sure exactly which things they have.

So you didnt check what äitiyspakkaus have or do want more

There is everything, including "eco-diapers" (those have been in before "eco" was invented), what baby needs in few first months (yes, they dont care what you want but what baby needs) and that gives you time to see what is really needed so you dont waste your money.
Give a birth and see what you would like to have and remember its a baby, not chinese porcelain or way to express your opinions. Its carnivore

Also remember that organic doesnt mean safe or better.

I did check online what the package contains, but some items (bib, nappy set) are not enough and I was advised to get extra in hand.
As for the eco-diapers, it wasn't mentioned in the package description so I wasn't aware of it.
By the way, not all are born a carnivore

Thanks anyway for your info here.

There are
many stores. Many are online only.
There's even an association for cloth diapers -
Kestovaippayhdistys. They may be able to provide you with more information if you e-mail them.
