Address change for minors

Post by network_engineer » Tue Dec 13, 2011 3:15 pm

Hi all,

Apologies, not sure if this was supposed to be posted to the 'Living in Finland' section!

We recently moved houses (and municipalities); and while our (my wife & I) details were found correctly changed via the netposti muutoilmoitus, our children's address were not changed. We called them and they said it has to be done via the maistraati.

What gives? Is this normal?

Kind regards.

I certainly did the the "muuttoilmoitus" for all of my family members online. You had selected the both post office and maistraatti as recipients for which the address change should apply and the children to the list of persons?

Dunno why they weren't "moved" with you, but now they officially don't live at the same address, so you can't do the move online :)
