Job Vancacy- Studio Photography Assistant

Verve Portraits is looking for a hard-working and enthusiastic member to join our high-end portrait studio in Helsinki as studio assistant. Our ideal candidate is outgoing, organized, responsible and works well with children/families. Being a team player and bringing a positive attitude to work every day is a must!

Responsibilities include:
Answering phone calls and emails
Booking appointments
Assisting photographer on shoots
Conducting ‘viewing sessions’ with clients
Corresponding with photography labs to oversee production
Running errands
Maintaining studio (props, equipment, office supplies, etc.)
Packaging prints, albums, etc. for client deliveries
Photo Editing (lightroom, photoshop)
Graphic design experience is a plus, but not necessary.
Maintaining website, blog and social marketing sites

Requirements:
Photography experience preferred
Editing skills preferred (Lightroom, Photoshop)
Exceptional communication skills in Finnish and English
Availability for working weekends

The position involves doing a little bit of everything, so please be ready to multi-task. However, we can provide training in all areas of responsibility. The ideal candidate will have both artistic flare and business understanding, but good personality, will to learn and work hard are above all else!

This is an amazing opportunity for the right candidate to learn the business of portrait photography. There is potential for growth into a full time studio manager position.

Starting compensation: 12 euros/hour
15-25 hours/week

Hi Glen,

I realise your post is from a while ago,but my husband has got a job in Helsinki so i will be moving to Finland for a year and looking for a job in the photographic industry.
If you still have an opening , or if you offer studio hire, drop me a line. At the minute I am freelance, but did work for Venture portraits for 8 years as a photographer.
Our styles seem to be similar, so it might work!
