ROLE IN A STUDENT FILM FOR AFRICAN-AMERICAN WOMAN!

WE ARE LOOKING FOR AN AFRICAN-AMERICAN WOMAN (AGE 35-55 YRS.) TO PLAY THE LEADING ROLE IN A STUDENT FILM!

The students of Helsinki Film School are looking for a African-American actress for the leading role in a student film. We are looking for someone, who is interested in acting - previous experience is not required!
The film tells the story of a family that goes through a tragedy (the role is the mother of the family). The style of the film is experimental or "art-house".

In the film there are elements of dancing, but we do not require a dancing-background or experience - it's more about the movement.
There is no dialogue in the film! It's possible to speak finnish or english with the crew.

We are shooting the film in two parts: 4 days in March, during week 10, and 2 days in the beginning of May.
So there are 6 shooting days in total.

The shooting will take place near Helsinki-area, so it would be best if the applicants are also from this region. (We cannot pay traveling costs, unfortunately.)

The actress gets a little payment for the role.

Do you also need Extras for your casting like the AFRICAN-AMERICAN WOMAN HUSBAND OR MEN ?

Why African-American? Wouldn't plain African do? I'd say you would get more responses if you didn't rule out all the Africans already here.
