Palkankorotus

Post by rimbambito » Tue Feb 14, 2012 9:23 pm

Hello everybody

I have been working full time in a company for 9 months now and in my opinion the time has come to ask for a pay rise (of course I have my own valid and good reasons).

Just a straight and no-frills question….
Do you guys think that 9 months is a too short lapse of time, that I should wait little bit longer? And generally speaking, is it “common habit” ask for a rise in salary in Finland?

Thank you for your time and advices!

Ask if you think you're worth of it. It is never wrong to ask, and if someone get uppset of it, it's his problem. It is not too short time to ask.

You can always ask for a rise - just do it constructively (not: X gets paid this, so I should get the same)
