Hi all!
All responces are much appreciated!
I am receiving parental allowance at the moment and because of financial problem I was thinking of applying for a partime job. But at the same time I'm worried if having a partime job affects the money that I'm receiving from kela. Does anyone knows about this matter?

Hi Chechay!
I am sorry to say the obvious, but have you tried to ask at the asiakaspalvelu in kela office? In my experience they are mostly not knowing the answers, but for this kind of situations I know many people that got really well informed (for such things as study grants vs. work salary).
At any rate, I would assume the allowance would remind the same as long as the total sum (allowance + salary) wouldn't exceed some certain amount, but hopefully someone would know more

Apparently women can get the minimum parental allowance also during time they work:
Voit työskennellä vanhempainvapaalla, mutta työskentelypäiviltäsi vanhempainraha maksetaan vähimmäismääräisenä (ks. Määrä). Työskentely sunnuntaisin ei vaikutatukeen.
