How could I apply to go to finland and visit my boyfriend

Hello Everyone!!

I'm a colombian girl who wants to travel to finland to meet my boyfriend and get married there. We are thinking of applying with the schengen visa, and he would send me the invitation letter and all the documents needed, but some people have told me that probably the visa could be rejected. Could someone tell me How is the best way to get a visa to visit my boyfriend. Thanks a lot for replying!!!!

How about asking the nearest embassy (Peru) visa.lim@formin.fi ?

Assuming you don't really want to "visit" your boyfriend but stay (you don't say so, but I've seen a few postings on this board before..), are you sure you want to do it this way (getting married and applying for permit here afterwards, instead of doing it there)?

You have equal chance to fail if you apply in your own country or here. Differences are that if you apply herring you could have to wait half a year for a decision and you won't be able to work or make any money for the whole time. Also you won't qualify for health care and many other things.

How do you expect to live for such a long time without money?

Best thing is, he can do is go there it makes the relationship look more serious and then you can wait that you get a decision and you won't starve while you wait in Finland with nothing.

Read the other threads about how people are so annoyed that they applied here and that they can't do anything for more than half a year.
