How to open a family daycare?

Post by LeKi » Mon Mar 12, 2012 10:57 pm

Greetings all!
Does anyone know or can anyone direct me the right way, what are the regulations/requirements in order to open a family daycare (in Espoo)? Where would be a good way to start checking the regulations (who is in charge of these - city or state?)
Thanks a lot for any advice and references!

City is, there are some rules mandated by state(law) but in end city is responsible.

First what i would do is to contact päivähoito responsible people in city and i would start, by googling, with.

Puhelinneuvonta
Arkisin ma-pe klo 9-11 ja 12-15.
Vaihteen puhelinnumero on 09 81 621.
Palvelualueet: Espoon keskus, Espoonlahti, Leppävaara, Matinkylä-Olari, Tapiola.

They probably can tell where exactly to contact.

And laws. www.finlex.fi so here is finnish law, there is no translations
http://www.finlex.fi/fi/laki/ajantasa/1973/19730036 Laki lasten päivähoidosta.
http://www.finlex.fi/fi/laki/ajantasa/1973/19730239 Asetus lasten päivähoidosta.

In general you can take care up to 4 kids including your own etc. But call them.

Hi! You could also take a look at http://www.espoo.fi/en-US/Childcare_and ... y_Day_Care and depending on the place you live they will put you in contact with the person responsible for your area. I hope it helps :D !
