Cleaning work partner wanted!

Post by TK70 » Tue Mar 13, 2012 8:48 pm

I am 26 years old estonian woman and I do home cleaning work in Finland (Helsinki region) under my own registered company. Now I have too much work for one person. I can't do all work alone. I am looking for work partner, must be woman who is around my age and have good sense of humor and positive attitude. Most important thing is that you must have cleaning work experience.

I would like to warn you, you just breached law if you dont have very good explanation why woman and your age.

Non-Discrimination Act (21/2004)

Section 6. Prohibition of discrimination
Nobody may be discriminated against on the basis of age, ethnic or national origin,
nationality, language, religion, belief, opinion, health, disability, sexual orientation or other
personal characteristics. The prohibition of discrimination based on gender is covered by the
provisions of the Act on Equality between Women and Men (609/1986).

I am not saying anything bad about men or I am not rascist. This work is for woman. Some hard works are only for men. This is not. It is not discrimination.

This is book example of discrimination, do you have any good excuses why you want only woman and any good exuces why you want womans who are in your age?
"I want to" isnt good excuse. You have to show that gender is really needed and age is really needed in your business. I doubt you can.

Onkko why are u always so annoying? ur fav sentence must be "u just broke the law",
the girl is doing a honest work she is paying the taxes and she´s only trying to expand her business, why should u let her down???
OFC she´needs a woman of her age (have u ever seen a 76yo man cleaning?!?)to give the best service to her customers, SO WHAT? where do u see the discrimination? she didnt say racist things such as "only white people" or "only catholic" people...c+ mon man...get a grip!
it sounds to me like in finland they do educate u like kindergarten kids "dont do that or i call the police" just to make u scared bt then u keep that attitude for ever... u know not everthing is about law n police...when most of finns will realise that finland will be the most productive country in europe...if u ll ever be ready to open ur mind!

so my personal suggestion to u is : LET IT BE! stop terrifying people with your fav sentence...it is all BOLLOCKS. if the girl wants a partner of her age with previous experience IT IS COMPLETELY NORMAL...now tell me, if ud start a business in the construction, would u hire a 61yo woman with no experience or a 20yo boy with experience and qualification?

Sorry, but what onkko says is absolutely correct. You cannot discriminate on basis of age or sex. Immigrants like you who want to work outside of this fundamental principle should pay more attention to our laws. Europe has spent centuries trying to develop a society that doesn't discriminate. It is far from perfect, and there is still a long way to go, but if you want to get in the way of our progress, then you should just go back to whatever backwards culture you came from. Clear?
Political correctness is the belief that it's possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.

I dont "let it be", there is laws, regulations and customs what are followed. "I didnt know" isnt valid excuse to break a law so i tell people if they do and i consider that as service to them.
And dont twist what she wanted, she wanted woman about her age so she or I didnt talk anything about experience or ability.
And i didnt talk about racism, i talked about discrimination.

And about that idiotic example what you produced from thin air making somekind of straw man. Lets make more fitting example, would you hire 25 year old woman withouth any experience or qualifications or 35 year old man with Ph.D in cleaning and 20 years of experience? If you are like original poster you would hire woman.

Onkko is right. Unfortunately there's usually not that can be done in these situations. The OP may be young, ambitious and somehow naive for stating it here so bluntly, but she may not like it when some day she finds out that Estonian is not good enough. Hope that does not happen to her.

But if you start cleaning business... both men and women are just as able to push the mop. 60 years doesn't mean you can't push the mop.

edit. typo

Hey, there are laws for not publically humilliating individuals or groups too in Europe.
Some people should learn to send polite messages to inboxes to inform others instead of publically Trolling them.
Whether or not, you or the text of the law, say they are breaking it.

On that note, have a great DAY..! :D

Here, let me help you out with an explanation of what trolling really means, so you don't have to continue misunderstanding the word.

No there isnt, if you write something others have every right to shoot it down.
And no, some people shouldnt. This is public forum so its for good for everyone to shoot down idiocy publicly so others learn too. And about trolling, look what interleukin said.

Nope.

Private Message > reader gets to learn the law

Public Forum > everyone who reads it gets to learn the law.

We're incredibly lucky in modern Europe. We have policy and laws that aim to prevent discrimination on base of age, race or sex. Sorry if some of us feel those values are important enough to stand up for, no matter who might get offended.
