Hi people!
In my earlier post i mentioned that I would like to open a bubble tea shop/kiosk in Helsinki, preferably in the Kamppi region. I have a good understanding of the business and Im learning how to produce them in my country, Malaysia. Im look for a serious potential investor/Partner to join in. I have done the financial calculation and its above average. The business plan will be ready soon and Im going to make an appointment with the Finnish Embassy in Malaysia to help me with documentation issues.
Please PM me if interested and we can take it from there.
Best regards
Darren

What role do you need the business partner/advisor to play in the business ?

I'm not a potential business partner, so I'm asking just to satisfy my curiosity.
In your other thread, you said "I have recently been to Finland to scope for a business opportunity and after much researching in the city, i was surprise that I couldnt find it in Finland." Did your research entail anything else than "no, no bubble tea sold anywhere"? What I'm saying is that the Finnish cafeteria/restaurant culture is a bit... anemic compared to many other countries, so do your research well. (You say you're looking for an advisor, which is of course good.)
(I'm thinking of this thread (mostly pages 2 and 3) where the OP's plans and the reality of Finnish culinary life didn't really match.)
Anyway, I really want to have some bubble tea, so I wish you the best

Something like Chatime in Helsnki? Might work, but price needs to be ok for a non-alcoholic drink.

Here in Finland, I have done everything I can to blend-in with the Finns, I've changed my hair color, wore differnet clothes, got different

We'll know once you've tried itdarren1508 wrote:Yes i did sufficient research and Im not keen to opening a cafe like bubble tea shop, im actually thinking of opening a small kiosk in the city for a takeaway product... What do you think? will it be a good idea?

I'd guess that the best season for cold take-away drinks might be from May/June to August. (At the moment, there's still snow on the ground and the temperature will drop under zero next weekend...) You'll be competing with ice cream stands.
(Someone else on the forum will understand immigration-related things better, but don't you need to show Migri that you can make a living with your business plan? That might actually be the hardest part.)
