YLE TV1 is currently showing reruns of the 2009 dramatic series Uutishuone (“Newsroom”, see here as well) set in the time period spanning from 1967 to 1981. The series is a bit Mad Men -esque in its attempt at historical accuracy. It revisits some of the key news events of the era (from the local Finnish viewpoint, of course) along with examining the (fictional) personal relations of the TV news reporters covering them.
