Hello.
I am planning on starting a business in the Helsinki area, but I'm having a hard time finding retail space for rent, so I really have no clue what to expect to pay per square meter.
Are there any websites that deal mostly with this? Or do you know how I can get in touch with a person that might be able to help me find a place to set up shop?
Kiitos ja terveisin,
Kenneth

Re: Finding retail space for rent in Helsinki?
If/when I find a place suitable for my business, I will most likely have to make some changes to the rooms (need different floor+walls+maybe roof). And also add hot/cold water + drain. What are the laws on doing this kind of modifications to a rented property (I assume it will vary between one companies, but is there a common set or "rules"?)?
I would be very grateful if someone could help me by answering these questions

Before you do anything, you need to have a written permission from the landlord to do any changes. It might be helpful for you to visit this website: http://www.yrityssuomi.fi/web/enterpris ... d/starting and to find if you business needs a permit to operate: https://www.yrityssuomi.fi/web/permits
May I ask what business are you planning to open?

Yes of course, I was just wondering if finding a place that would allow me to do such modifications would be difficult.
As far as telling you what business I plan on opening, I think it's best for me to keep my cards close to my chest for the time being (since we're looking at 1+ year before I (hopefully) am up and running).
